Moscow needs to examine Dutch allegations about Russian cyberattacks - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Oct 4 (Interfax) - Moscow needs to look properly into the Dutch allegations about Russian cyberattacks, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"We need to look into the essence of the claims being made against us by the Netherlands, the government of that country. The preliminary information we have so far on this matter is very general," Ryabkov told reporters.

"So I will refrain from commenting on the essence of these accusations," Ryabkov said.

"The topic of the so-called Russian hacking and, more broadly, cyberhacking has recently acquired popularity in certain circles that are negative towards our country. This has become such a big topic that simply the making of such accusations makes one doubt their credibility," Ryabkov said.
