MOSCOW. Oct 5 (Interfax-AVN) - A Russian source has denied reports that the implementation of a contract for the delivery of Russian Sukhoi Su-35 fighter jets to Indonesia has been postponed due to U.S. sanctions.
"No one has postponed the fulfillment of this contract," the source told Interfax.
"The sanctions are certainly a hurdle, but the contract remains in force. It is necessary to sort out some technical issues, after which it will be possible to begin implementing it," the source said.
The newspaper Kommersant cited two top managers of Russian defense industry enterprises and a source close to the government administration as saying that the implementation of the contract for the delivery of 11 Su-35 fighter jets to Indonesia has been postponed.
