MOSCOW. Oct 18 (Interfax) - The Sochi agreements on Idlib reached by Russia and Turkey are being fulfilled, and Ankara is actively interacting with the opposition, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in an interview with RT France, Paris Match and Le Figaro.
"Speaking of the fulfillment of the Sochi agreements, they are being fulfilled. A demilitarized zone is being created on the perimeter of this Idlib area, and heavy weapons are being withdrawn," Lavrov said.
Turkey "is actively interacting with the opposition and persuading it to cooperate," Lavrov said. "This kind of cooperation continues. We will be watching it very closely," he said.
