SIMFEROPOL. Oct 19 (Interfax) - Twenty-three people injured in the bombing-and-shooting incident at the Kerch Polytechnic School have been transferred to hospitals in Krasnodar and Moscow, and 20 patients remain at hospital in Crimea, the press service of the Crimean Health Ministry said on Thursday.
"Twenty-three people have been hospitalized in other Russian regions, including four transferred to the central hospital of the Temryuk district [in the Krasnodar territory], nine to hospitals in Krasnodar, and ten to Moscow," the ministry said.
The patients, who stayed in Crimea, are receiving hospital therapy in Kerch, the Leninsky district, and Simferopol.
Vladislav Roslyakov, a student at the Kerch Polytechnic School, set off a bomb and went on a shooting spree before committing suicide at the school on October 17.
According to the most recent information provided by the Health Ministry, the death toll from the attack has climbed to 21, including the perpetrator. Over 40 people were injured.
A criminal case was initially opened on counts of terrorism, but the crime was later redefined as murder. Three days of mourning are being observed in Crimea.
