MOSCOW. Oct 22 (Interfax) - Russia will adopt a position on the future of the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF Treaty) based not on the United States' declared intentions, but on its actual decisions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Monday.
"We will wait for official explanations on the part of our American counterparts," Lavrov told journalists in Moscow.
"If U.S. National Security Advisor John Bolton [provides explanations], we will certainly listen to him and then assess the situation," he said.
"If they intend to do so via other channels, we will also be prepared for these contacts and will then determine our position based not on intentions, but on clearly expressed decisions," Lavrov said.
