MOSCOW. Nov 16 (Interfax) - The High Command of the Russian Aerospace Forces has scheduled over 500 exercises of various levels and over 800 for reservists, as well as flight-skills exercises, for 2019, Col. Gen. Sergei Surovikin, commander of the Aerospace Forces, wrote in an article published in the Friday edition of the Defense Ministry's newspaper Krasnaya Zvezda.
"Over 500 exercises of various levels and over 800 reservist trainings involving all categories of military personnel, as well as flight (field) skills exercises for combat crews of the Aerospace Forces are scheduled to be conducted in 2019 under the guidance of the commander of the Aerospace Forces and officials from the High Command of the Aerospace Forces. The main exercises are Aviadarts 2019, Keys to the Sky 2019, and Air Borders 2019," Surovikin wrote.
Combat experience gained in Syria will be taken into account, he wrote.
"The training of the Aerospace Forces in 2019 will be aligned with the troops' supply of modern weapons and military equipment, the development of the command system, intelligence and radio-electronic warfare, and the combat experience gained in the special operation in the Syrian Arab Republic. It will be aimed at increasing the combat potential of the troops and ensuring their readiness to accomplish missions in any conditions," Surovikin wrote.
