MOSCOW/NEW YORK. Nov 26 (Interfax) - The introduction of martial law in Ukraine is aimed at cancelling the presidential election in that country, Russian First Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Dmitry Polyansky said at a UN Security Council meeting addressing the Kerch Strait incident in New York on Monday.
"All of us understand perfectly well what objective introducing martial law with its predictable extension pursues. This is the cancelation of the election despite all of Mr. Poroshenko's assurances to the opposite," Polyansky said.
