Security of Russian Consulate General in Kharkiv tightened

KHARKIV. Nov 26 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian National Guard has tightened security of the building of the Russian Consulate General in Kharkiv, Oleh Antibura, information and communication officer of the National Guard's Eastern territorial department, said.

"Security has been tightened since this morning [of November 26] until separate order," Antibura told Interfax.

It was reported earlier on Monday that protesters threw flares at the building of the Russian Consulate General in Kharkiv.

Members of Ukrainian nationalist organizations held a picket in front of the building of the Russian Consulate General in light of the events in the Kerch Strait.

It was reported earlier that the authorities of Lviv have tightened security of the building of the Russian Consulate General there.

As reported, in the early hours of Monday, members of right-wing radical organizations held a protest in front of the building of the Russian Consulate General in Lviv against Russian border guards' actions against three Ukrainian Navy ships in the Kerch Strait.
