MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy to the United States has called on the U.S. authorities to put an end to the frenzy of neo-nationalism in Ukraine following protests near Russian diplomatic missions in Ukraine.
"We express solidarity with our colleagues at the embassy in Kiev and Russian consulates general in Ukraine, who face aggression on a regular basis. We call upon the United States to finally curb their Ukrainian stooges. The current radical-nationalist and neo-Nazi lawlessness in Ukraine must end," the embassy said in a statement published on its Facebook page.
A protest against Russia's measures in the Sea of Azov was staged near the Russian embassy in Kyiv late on November 25. Protesters brought tires and paper ships. Some of them hurled flares into the embassy compound and tried to burn tires.
Media reported later that a car with diplomatic plates was found burnt out near the Russian embassy.
