Martial law may lead to greater tension in southeastern Ukraine - Peskov

MOSCOW. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Kyiv's introduction of martial law in some parts of Ukraine may spark an escalation of tension, including in the southeastern part of the country, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Tuesday.

"This is a potentially dangerous escalation of tensions, because such actions can, of course, lead to tensions near the contact line in southeastern Ukraine," he said.
