ASTANA. Nov 27 (Interfax) - The Syrian government's delegation led by Syrian Permanent Representative to the United Nations Bashar Jaafari has arrived in Astana to attend the upcoming round of Syria settlement talks, the director of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry's Asia and Africa Department, Aidarbek Tumatov, said on Tuesday.
"The delegation of the Syrian Arab Republic has arrived in Astana to take part in the 11th international meeting on Syria. The delegation is headed by Syrian Permanent Representative to the UN in New York Bashar Jaafari," Tumatov said.
The Iranian delegation led by Senior Assistant to the Iranian Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari arrived earlier in the day.
The next round of Syria talks will take place on November 28-29.
