SIMFEROPOL. Nov 27 (Interfax) - Three motor checkpoints on Crimea's border with Ukraine are operating routinely on Tuesday afternoon, while Crimean border guards do not comment on reports about the situation in the Kherson Region bordering the peninsula.
"We have the same situation, everything is routine, for travel both to and from there, but we cannot comment on the other side," a spokesman of the Russian Federal Security Service's border department for Crimea told Interfax.
From the side of Ukraine checkpoints "are now operating in a restricted mode for Russian citizens. In both directions," Governor of Ukraine's Kherson Region Andriy Hordeyev said at a press briefing earlier today.
The checkpoints Armyansk, Dzhankoi, and Perekop are situated on the peninsula. The checkpoints Kalanchak, Chaplinka, and Chongar are located in Ukraine.
