Russian embassy demands Ukrainian Foreign Ministry explain why Russians massively barred from entering Ukraine

MOSCOW. Nov 28 (Interfax) - The Russian embassy in Kyiv has warned Russian citizens planning private and business visits to Ukraine about the increased denials of entry by the Ukrainian State Border Service.

The entry is denied although Russian citizens "comply with every requirement and have lawful grounds for crossing the Ukrainian border," the embassy said on its website.

"In addition, Ukrainian officials are intentionally stalling the vetting process. Ukraine has declined to explain reasons for those restrictions," it said.

"The embassy has sent a note to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry asking to explain why our citizens are being massively barred from visiting Ukraine and to take measures for preventing discrimination against Russian citizens by the Ukrainian State Border Service," it said.
