Poroshenko endorses martial law in Ukraine (Part 2)

KYIV. Nov 28 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has endorsed the decree introducing martial law in Ukraine, according to the presidential press service.

"The document declares 30-day martial law, until December 26, in the Vinnytsia, Luhansk, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhya, and Kherson regions, and Ukraine's internal waters in the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea," the press service said.

According to the legislation he signed, the president can declare partial mobilization on a scale consistent with the national security and defense threats faced by Ukraine.
