ASTANA. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The UN Secretary General's Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura insist that members of the Syrian Constitutional Committee be confirmed before the end of this year in order to launch the political process, a source close to the Syria talks in Astana told Interfax.
"De Mistura insists that the political process be launched before the end of this year," the source said in response to a question whether members of the Syrian Constitutional Committee might be confirmed at the 11th round of talks in Astana.
De Mistura heads the UN delegation to the round.
