Klintsevich describes Trump's decision to cancel meeting with Putin as "bad news for the whole world"

MOSCOW. Nov 29 (Interfax) - The pretext used by U.S. President Donald Trump to cancel his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin is far-fetched since Russia could not let the Ukrainian sailors go, Frants Klintsevich, member of Russia's Federation Council Defense and Security Committee, said.

"The pretext for the cancelation of the meeting is far-fetched. We could not do otherwise," Klintsevich told Interfax on Thursday.

"The dialogue between Putin and Trump will happen sooner or later. This is an international security issue. Their conversation is of colossal importance. The cancelation of the meeting is bad news for the whole world," he said.
