MOSCOW. Nov 30 (Interfax-AVN) - Almaz-Antey will present military and dual-use products at the first international defense show in Egypt, EDEX, which will be held in Cairo on December 3-5, the holding told Interfax-AVN on Friday.
"Five subsidiaries of the holding, namely the Almaz Research-and-Production Company, the Kupol Izhevsk Electromechanical Plant, the Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Engineering (NNIIRT), the Kalinin Machine-Building Plant (MZiK), and the Novator Experimental Design Bureau, will take part in the show in Cairo," Almaz-Antey said.
"The holding has decided to participate in the show due to the significance of military-technical cooperation between Russia and Egypt and Egypt's high international standing," Almaz-Antey's Deputy General Director for Foreign Economic Activity Vyacheslav Dzirkaln said.
The holding will display products popular in the region, focusing on the Egyptian arms market, he said.
In addition to general information about Almaz-Antey products, the holding will present models of S-400 Triumf, S-300VM Antey-2500, Buk-M2E, Tor-M2E, Tor-M2K, Tor-M2KM, Tunguska-M1, and Shilka-M4 systems.
Aerial surveillance radars will occupy a special place in the holding's exposition. It will present models of the RLK 55Zh6ME multirole radar system, the 55Zh6UME mobile radar system, the 1L122-1E small-sized radar system, the 1L121E, 1L125E and Protivnik-GE mobile radar systems, the 96L6E2 all-altitude radar, and the VIP-117M3 unified data operation module.
Civilian and dual-use products will include models of the DMRL-S Doppler weather radar, the Sopka-2 en-route radar, and the ROSC-1 optical security and UAV-neutralization radar.
