MOSCOW. Dec 3 (Interfax) - There are no plans for a phone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in the foreseeable future, Russian presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov told reporters on Monday.
It is not reasonable to call a Normandy Format meeting over the incident in the Kerch Strait, either, Peskov said.
"Indeed, Putin and Poroshenko have not had phone conversations since the incident. As far as I know, no such conversation is planned for the coming days," he said.
Asked whether it is necessary to call a Normandy Format meeting, as Poroshenko has suggested, Peskov said, "The Normandy Format works on issues related to the implementation of the Minsk Agreements. A Ukrainian provocation in Russian territorial waters is hardly related to the dimension of the Minsk Agreements."
