MILAN. Dec 6 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini are holding talks on the sidelines of the OSCE Ministerial Council in Milan, an Interfax correspondent reported.
Lavrov and Mogherini exchanged a couple of phrases, after which journalists were asked to leave the conference room.
Mogherini said earlier that she intended to discuss the tensions in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov with Lavrov and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in Milan on Thursday.
The Lavrov-Mogherini meeting lasted a little over an hour. The sides declined to answer questions from reporters afterward.
Lavrov is currently holding a closed-door meeting with OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger.
