MOSCOW. Dec 7 (Interfax) - Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras says that the situation surrounding the expulsion of Russian diplomats has been solved and that as long as he is prime minister, Greece will not change its positions due to foreign pressure.
"As long as I am prime minister, and as long as we are in the post-2015 period with regard to thorny issues connected to Russia, Greece will not move away from its positions under pressure or under the opinion of other third countries," Tsipras told reporters after Russian-Greek talks on Friday.
Greece was the only European Union country that refused to expel Russian diplomats over the Skripal affair, he said.
"I believe that we [Greece] are looking into the future. This issue [the expulsion of diplomats] has been solved. And today what really matters is how we'll utilize the potential of our partnership [with Russia] in a variety of sectors," Tsipras said.
