Bill terminating Big treaty with Russia to be signed on Dec 10 - Poroshenko

KYIV. Dec 10 (Interfax) - Ukraine's President Petro Poroshenko said he will sign a bill terminating the country's friendship treaty with Russia from April 2019 on Monday, December 10.

"There is some symbolism in that the treaty on the so-called friendship with Russia is being finally terminated. I introduced the relevant bill to Verkhovna Rada. It was also voted on the day before yesterday, and on Monday I will sign it," Poroshenko said in Lviv on Saturday.

On December 6 Ukrainian parliament voted for terminating the Ukrainian-Russian friendship, cooperation and partnership treaty. Speaker Andriy Parubiy signed the bill.
