ROSTOV-ON-DON. Dec 12 (Interfax-AVN) - Commanding officers of the Southern Military District are meeting in Crimea under the aegis of District Commander Alexander Dvornikov, the district's press service told Interfax.
"Officers of the Southern Military District will study new methods and techniques for countering cruise missiles for the first time at the operational-and-methodological conference. Commanders of formations and military units will spend three days listening to lectures and attending practical lessons, which will provide them with methodological recommendations on planning and arranging combat and operative training events," the press service said.
About 500 officers, who will also practice raising forces to various stages of alert, are attending.
"Emphasis will be put on using the experience of modern armed conflicts, including the suppression of attack drones, the use of reconnaissance fire and attack means, and interaction between combined forces," the press service said.
