Aliyev, Russian General Staff chief pleased with bilateral military-technical cooperation

BAKU. Dec 12 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov have noted the high level of military-technical cooperation between Baku and Moscow.

According to a statement posted on the Azerbaijani presidential website, at a meeting in Baku on Wednesday, "Aliyev noted that Azerbaijan and Russia are reliable partners and that military-technical cooperation between the countries has reached a qualitatively new level."

Aliyev emphasized the need to implement the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Russia this year in order to increase mutual interaction.

Gerasimov will meet with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR) Curtis Scaparrotti in Baku on Wednesday.
