MOSCOW. Dec 12 (Interfax) - The Ingush Interior Ministry confirms that two police officers have been injured in a grenade explosion in Nazran.
"During the detention of the suspects one of them threw a grenade at law enforcement officers at about 6 p.m. today at a shopping mall in Kartoyeva Street in the city of Nazran," the press service of the ministry told Interfax.
"Two police officers were injured in the blast. They were brought to the Ingush republican clinical hospital," the press service added.
A team of investigators and operatives is working at the site of the incident, according to the Interior Ministry.
The grenade was blown up in the area of the Kovcheg shopping mall in Nazran, an informed source told Interfax earlier. According to tentative information, two men, who have plotted the explosion, were eliminated.
