HMEIMIM. Dec 13 (Interfax) - The Russian center for reconciliation of the opposing sides in Syria has recorded six attacks mounted on populated localities by illegal armed units active in the Idlib de-escalation area.
The center's head, Lt. Gen. Sergei Solomatin, said at a press briefing on Wednesday that in the past day militants had attacked Tell Maraq (twice) and Hamamiyat in the Hama governorate, Sandran (twice) and Safsara in the Latakia governorate, Tell Maled in the Aleppo governorate, and also the neighborhoods of Zahabiya (twice) and Makanis al-Duwayri and the western outskirts of the city of Aleppo.
In accordance with the Syrian president's decree, an amnesty campaign is continuing for people who shunned military service, including refugees and former members of illegal armed units, he said. A total of 16,575 people had been amnestied by December 11, 2018 (16,352 people by December 10).
