Dec 11 spacewalk of Russian cosmonauts to go down in space exploration history - Rogozin

MOSCOW. Dec 14 (Interfax-AVN) - The spacewalk performed by Russian cosmonauts to help establish the origin of the hole in the Soyuz MS-09 spaceship will go down in space exploration history, Roscosmos head Dmitry Rogozin said.

"This operation will rightfully go down in the world history of space exploration," Rogozin wrote on Twitter on Thursday.

He also posted photos taken by Russian cosmonauts Oleg Kononenko and Sergei Prokopyev during the spacewalk.

"Oleg Kononenko has just sent me those photos and wrote, 'It was pretty intense," Rogozin said.

Kononenko and Prokopyev went on their spacewalk from the International Space Station at 7:02 p.m. Moscow time on December 11. The extravehicular activity lasted for seven hours and 45 minutes.
