Lukashenko says Poroshenko rejected his initiatives on Donbas

MINSK. Dec 14 (Interfax) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko says that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko rejected his initiatives regarding control on the Russian-Ukrainian border and Donbas elections.

"I was ready to stand on that border as a border guard, given that Russian and Ukrainian people like me alright, as well as to arrange an election compliant with the Minsk Agreement. [...] But guess what? The ones who need to stop this war, primarily Poroshenko and the Ukrainians, rejected the offer. They explained their attitude by saying that Lukashenko is pro-Russian," Lukashenko told Russian journalists in Minsk on Friday.
