BAKU. Dec 14 (Interfax) - The Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) focuses on promoting economic cooperation between countries of the region, not political issues, Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammad-Guliyev said.
"We do not deal with political affairs in the BSEC. This is an economic organization. This is why I have not discussed the problem of Nagorno-Karabakh with the Armenian representative who came to Baku for the meeting," Mammad-Guliyev told the press on Friday.
"Conflicts are creating impediments to full-scale cooperation between BSEC member countries. Economic cooperation is the primary goal," he said.
The BSEC foreign ministers are meeting in Baku on Friday.
The organization comprises Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Bulgaria, Greece, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Turkey, and Ukraine.
