DPR, LPR to merge their railways

LUHANSK. Dec 17 (Interfax) - The authorities in the self-proclaimed Luhansk and Donetsk People's Republics (LPR and DPR) are considering creating a joint railroad center, Sergei Kozlov, chairman of the LPR Council of Ministers, said.

"One can boldly say there will be a joint railroad. We are moving in this direction. I think a decision will be made, literally, in the first quarter [of 2019]," Kozlov told journalists on Monday.

Specialists are now drafting proposals on the form of the enterprise, he said.

"But that there will be a joint management center for this railroad - that decision has already been made at the level of our governments," Kozlov said.
