MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - The UN General Assembly resolution on "Russia's militarization of Crimea, the Black Sea, and the Sea of Azov" enables insane actions of Kyiv, according to Federation Council Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Konstantin Kosachyov.
"The resolution is not just useless, it will have no legal consequences but military-political implications are quite possible: in fact, it unties Kyiv's hands and enables it to take any steps, even the most insane. Given the expiring period of martial law and the nearing election in Ukraine, there is every reason to believe that the Ukrainian authorities are ready for such steps," Kosachyov wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
"This means that 66 [countries] that voted for the odious resolution on Crimea at the UN share the responsibility for the steps Kyiv may take in the future, which are quite capable of leading to a tragedy," Kosachyov said.
