MOSCOW. Dec 18 (Interfax) - Russia can modernize its air- and sea-launched systems and deploy them on land if the United States quits the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty, President Vladimir Putin said at the meeting of the Defense Ministry collegium on Tuesday.
"Let's wait and see what happens. In fact, we already have everything we need, but if what they are trying to scare us with happens, we will have to act accordingly," Putin said.
"As you know, we have air- and sea-launched systems, and I do not think it will be difficult to do relevant R&D work and deploy them on land if necessary," he said.
It takes discipline to be effective, Putin said. "We have everything we need, and we have enough resources for the provision of our defense and security," he said.
