MOSCOW. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Changes 'on the ground' in Syria may have a long-term positive effect only in combination with progress made in political settlement, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.
"We understand that any positive changes on the ground in Syria may have a long-term positive effect only if they have support on the track of a political settlement based on respect for Syria's unity and territorial integrity," Zakharova told a press briefing on Wednesday.
