TSKHINVAL. Dec 26 (Interfax) - The South Ossetian government has modified the liberalized procedure for crossing the border with Georgia.
Acting head of the South Ossetian State Security Committee Vladimir Khubayev made a report on the issue at a government meeting.
"As of this moment, the resolution says that the border with Georgia can be crossed in the liberalized procedure on condition that the traveler has a South Ossetian passport and a standard-issue pass. Now the pass is mandatory for traveling from our republic to the neighboring country," Khubayev said.
Law enforcement agencies will thus have information about citizens crossing the border between South Ossetia and Georgian in a simplified procedure.
