Poroshenko, Nazarbayev discuss Donbas, interaction in UN by phone

KYIV. Dec 26 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev on Wednesday evening, the Ukrainian presidential press service said.

"The parties agreed to hold the next meeting of the joint inter-governmental Ukrainian-Kazakh commission for economic cooperation in 2019. The current and future development of commercial and economic bilateral cooperation received special attention," the press service said.

The Ukrainian and Kazakh presidents also discussed interaction at international platforms, particularly the United Nations.

Poroshenko and Nazarbayev also discussed the situation in Donbas, the press service said.

"The presidents noted their mutual commitment to intensifying [...] the political dialogue between Ukraine and the Republic of Kazakhstan," it said.
