YEKATERINBURG. Dec 27 (Interfax-AVN) - This year's plan for the delivery of military hardware to Russia's Central Military District as part of the state defense order has been fulfilled completely, the military district's press service said, citing the military district's acting Commander Col. Gen. Yevgeny Ustinov.
"Around 1,000 units of advanced hardware of different types have been provided this year in accordance with the forces' procurement plan, including 192 in December. The plan has been fulfilled by 100%," the press service quoted Ustinov as saying.
The squadron of the mixed aviation regiment, based in the Chelyabinsk region, has fully switched to 4++ generation multirole fighter-bombers Sukhoi Su-34, the press service said.
A mountain motorized rifle unit in Tuva has received Nona-SVK self-propelled howitzers, while artillery brigades in the Kemerovo and Orenburg regions have been provided with the latest modifications of Msta-S self-propelled howitzers.
The district's motorized rifle and special operations brigades have received several dozen sets of Takhion, Orlan-10 and Eleron-3 unmanned aerial vehicles, the press service said.
The district's forces have also received advanced artillery reconnaissance systems, vehicles of different types, air defense complexes, radiation, chemical and biological protection systems, etc.
