LUHANSK. Dec 27 (Interfax) - The self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) militia is ready for the "Christmas truce" in Donbas, which was agreed upon during a videoconference on Thursday, according to militia spokesman Andrei Marochko.
"We are always ready to fulfill conditions of another truce and to implement the ceasefire," Marochko said.
"We are also hoping for wisdom of the Ukrainian government and expecting their actions to help de-escalate the conflict in Donbas," he said.
For its part, the militia of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) pledged to strictly comply with the truce commitments.
"The DPR militia is fully prepared to observe its obligations during the ceasefire, which starts on December 29," the DPR militia spokesman told Interfax.
The security subgroup has agreed to begin the Donbas truce at 12:01 a.m. Moscow time on December 29.
