MOSCOW. Dec 28 (Interfax) - Palestinian movement Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh will visit Moscow and will hold talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on January 15, Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov said on Friday.
"His meeting with Lavrov has been set for January 15," Bogdanov said when answering a relevant question from Interfax.
At the meeting, the sides will discuss "the situation in the Middle East, the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, the situation in the Palestinian occupied territories, especially in the Gaza Strip, and, of course, the task of restoring Palestinian unity," he said.
