LUHANSK. Dec 29 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Armed Forces violated the Christmas ceasefire in Donbas on its very first day, the mission of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic (LPR) at the Joint Ceasefire Control and Coordination Center (JCCC) told Interfax on Saturday.
"Ukrainian armed units violated the ceasefire during its very first day. They started firing grenade launchers and firearms at LPR People's Militia positions near the community of Donetsky from the community of Novotoshkivske at 4:20 p.m.," it said.
The LPR People's Militia remains committed to the peaceful resolution of the conflict and is complying with its obligations, it said.
The press center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Joint Forces said on Facebook that the enemy violated the ceasefire twice on Saturday.
It said militiamen fired at Ukrainian positions near the community of Zalizne in the Horlivka sector and near the community of Hnutove in the Mariupol sector.
