MOSCOW. Jan 10 (Interfax-AVN) - Ships of the Baltic Fleet will fire missiles at drills in the Baltic Sea as part of the standard training course, the press service of the fleet told Interfax.
"To perform tasks within the standard training course naval ships will set out in the Baltic Sea to carry out a range of missile and artillery live-fire drills to hit maritime, aerial and coastal targets," the press service said.
"All of the ships of the Baltic Fleet, including the crews of the Nastoichivy destroyer, the corvettes Soobrazitelny, Stoiky, and Boiky, small missile ships and motorboats, large landing ships, anti-submarine ships and minesweepers, patrol boats, in all, over 50 ships and support vessels, are performing the tasks," the press service added.
The execution of tasks as part of the standard training course is under way since the beginning of this year, it said. The crews of ten ships have already performed them over this time.
