MOSCOW. Jan 11 (Interfax) - The United States' policy of forming alternative government structures in Venezuela is an overt encroachment on the sovereignty of this country, the Russian Foreign Ministry's information and press department said in a commentary posted on the ministerial website.
"The unashamed course of Washington towards the anti-constitutional formation of alternative government structures in Venezuela, the attempts to ignore the reality and acknowledge the legitimacy of some Venezuelan power branches while denying the legitimacy to others, and the tightening of sanctions which leads to the deterioration of socioeconomic conditions and hits in the pocket of average Venezuelans constitute an overt encroachment on the sovereignty of Venezuela," the commentary said.
