Russian military sees 3 ceasefire violations in Syria's Idlib de-escalation area in past 24 hours

MOSCOW. Jan 15 (Interfax) - Syrian militants have committed several ceasefire violations in the Idlib de-escalation area, the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides in Syria said.

"Three shell attacks of militants of illegal armed groups on the populated locality of Nahshebba in the Latakia governorate, and on the Sukkari district and on the south-western outskirts of the city of Aleppo have been seen in the Idlib de-escalation area in the past 24 hours," head of the Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides Lieut. Gen. Sergei Solomatin said at a press briefing on Monday.

Since January 13, Russian military police units have organized patrolling along the rear edge of the five-kilometer security zone in the Manbij district along two routes: Al-Arimah - Maysarah - Haled-al-Hidjam - Dali Fa'r - Khirbat Nafakh - Mashrafat al-Buwayr - Bawz Kij - al-Arimah and al-Arimah - al-Hutah - Mil-Wiran - Mushayrifah - al-Arimah, he added.
