MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax-AVN) - The military has found a Sukhoi Su-34 pilot; he is sending light signals from a rescue raft, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
"The fishing vessel that was passing by the area is on its way to his location," the ministry said.
The crew of a Mil Mi-8 helicopter spotted the pilot on the rescue raft.
"The pilot is sending light signals," the ministry said.
"The rescue operation is being held in bad weather, there are high winds and a force 4 gale," it said.
