U.S. already working on intermediate- and shorter-range missiles - Lavrov

MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Should the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces (INF) Treaty be scrapped, Russia's subsequent steps will depend on the actions of other countries that have this class of missiles and on the United States' actions, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said.

"If this document is scrapped, our practical actions will depend on the actions of other countries that already have such weapons, and also on the actions of the U.S., which, in fact, has already begun working to create intermediate- and shorter-range missiles," Lavrov said at a press conference in Moscow.
