MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - Germany has proposed holding a conference on building a new system of arms control involving not only Russia and the United States, but also China and other countries, in Berlin in March.
"It is important not only to talk about the INF Treaty, but also to begin discussing the new arms control architecture," German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said at a press conference following talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in Moscow on Friday.
"It should involve not only the U.S. and Russia, but also China and others," he said.
"We want all trends and developments to become matters for the new arms control architecture. This is why we will host a conference focusing on this issue in Berlin in March," Maas said.
