MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - The United States' new missile defense strategy is confrontational in nature and reveals Washington's desire to achieve unchallenged global military superiority, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"The contents of this document [the 2019 Missile Defense Review] cannot but be a cause of most serious concern," the ministry said in a commentary posted on its website on Friday.
"It is openly confrontational in nature and yet again demonstrates Washington's desire to achieve unchallenged global military superiority and ability to conduct military operations in defense of its interests in any spot on the globe with impunity," it said.
