MOSCOW. Jan 18 (Interfax) - The accused spy Paul Whelan will be brought to the Moscow City Court on January 22 to be present at the hearing of his appeal against his pretrial arrest, defense lawyer Vladimir Zherebenkov told Interfax on Friday.
"Yes, he will be brought there and will be present in person. An interpreter will be provided to him," Zherebenkov said.
The Moscow City Court on January 22 will hear an appeal by the defense asking for reversing the ruling on Whelan's arrest and choosing another restrictive measure for him by granting him bail, leaving its size to the court's discretion.
