EU sanction list on chemical weapons includes GRU chief Kostyukov, 1st deputy Alexeyev, Chepiga, Mishkin

BRUSSELS. Jan 21 (Interfax) - The European Union's regulation concerning restrictive measures against the proliferation and use of chemical weapons imposes sanctions on Russian Main Intelligence Directorate (GRU) chief Igor Kostyukov, his first deputy Vladimir Alexseyev, and Anatoly Chepiga and Alexander Mishkin.

The list also includes five Syrians.

A document identifying the individuals on whom the sanctions have been imposed has been published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
