Arms control agreements keep U.S. from attaining total dominance - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - The United States does not need any arms control agreements, as they prevent Washington from implementing its concept of total military dominance, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said.

"The Americans, at least an influential part of their political elite, do not need any arms control agreements," Ryabkov told the journal International Affairs in an interview.

"They obstruct the U.S., they trap the U.S. in sort of a web of obligations and keep the U.S. in a confined space, if you wish. They keep it from implementing the concept of total military dominance in all domains," he said.
