Moscow won't attend U.S.-sponsored Middle East conference in Warsaw - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. Jan 22 (Interfax) - Russia will not attend the conference on the Middle East initiated by the United States and scheduled to take place in Warsaw on February 13-14, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on its website on Tuesday.

"Having thoroughly studied the forum's tentative agenda and the program provided by the organizers, the Russian side has decided not to attend," the ministry said.

Moscow is "concerned by the U.S.' continuing attempts to impose its unilateral geopolitical interests through initiatives presented as the opinion of the entire international community," the ministry said.
