Russia to seek implementation of agreements with Turkey to eliminate terrorists in Idlib - Putin

MOSCOW. Jan 24 (Interfax) - Russia will seek the implementation of the Idlib agreements with Turkey in order to eliminate terrorists in that region, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We will seek all of our agreements to be fulfilled. We share common convictions that we should jointly continue the fight against terrorists, no matter where they are staying, including in the Idlib area," Putin said at a press conference following Russian-Turkish talks.

The negotiators also managed to agree on how to coordinate joint efforts in the immediate future, he said. "In our presence the defense ministers held additional consultations. They are working out additional joint measures. We will put them into practice," the Russian president said.

There are still a lot of problems in the buffer zone, but Turkey is taking a great effort to implement all of the agreements to ensure security, he said.
